Just in case you are tempted to eat some Christmas goodies, we thought we would share some information with you.

  • One Hershey Kiss has 26 calories, 8 grams of carbohydrates, 1.33 grams of fat, and 2.56 grams of sugar.
  • One snack size Reeses has 80 calories, 10 grams of carbs., 4.5 grams of fat, and 7 grams of sugar.
  • One 6” candy cane has 55 calories.
  • One slice of a chocolate orange is 43 calories.
  • One dark chocolate covered marshmallow Santa has 120 calories per serving.
  • One slice of holiday fruitcake has 366 calories.

If you eat just 4 Hershey Kisses, you would already have eaten 104 calories and would only have 400 more calories to eat during that day.

This year, stick with healthy snacks like an orange. It’s healthy, on the approved list of foods and only around 60 calories.

Things To Not Be Thankful For At Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is a great time to be with family and friends, but don’t give in to the food temptations around you. Here are some facts to help:

  • One slice of pumpkin pie is 320 calories.
  • One cup of mashed potatoes has around 350 calories and ½ cup of giblet gravy has around 150 calories. That’s 500 calories total.
  • One slice of dark meat turkey with the skin on contains 217 calories.
  • One cup of cornbread stuffing has 304 calories.
  • One serving (1/4 cup) of cranberry sauce has 100 calories.

If you ate all of this you would be at 1,441 calories for just one meal and that’s not including any vegetables. Stay strong this holiday. Remember that nothing tastes as good as the skinny you looks.

Daily Tips and Motivation Sent To Your Phone

Do you need some motivation to help keep you on track?  The support of our health coaches is available 7 days a week for those who purchase the program.  They can give valuable information and insights to help you personalize your plan in terms of exercise and nutrition. We have a fabulous Facebook page with the BEST community of HCG’ers around, but some still need that extra reminder to stay on track.

A Duke University study looked at how well such support worked to help over 1,000 people keep weight off after initial weight loss.  They looked at people who had no support at all, others that used web site information and those that interacted monthly with personal coaches.  After 2 ½ years, the group that had been coached fared far better in terms of keeping the weight off. So to provide another FREE service to our HCG’ers we are now offering a new program to help.

This 21 day program (just long enough to get you to the recommended minimum 21 days in phase 2) will text you daily tips/reminders to help keep you on track. You can register for this 1 of 2 ways:

Cake will always be there… just not today.

While on the Liquid HCG Diet it can be hard to avoid food that we used to eat before the diet, like cake, candy, ice cream and fast food. You may feel that you “deserve” to have a cheating day because you stuck to the diet all week. Or maybe you “deserve it” because you had a bad day but cake is not the answer!

Let’s face it; we are often our own worst enemy. It’s easy to sabotage yourself by storing the wrong food in the house or forgetting to plan your meals and end up eating bad food in desperation. Before you start the diet, clean out your house of all the sugary, processed foods, it will help get rid of any temptation. Also, plan ahead. Keep healthy food around you at all times, stay committed and keep the end goal in mind.  If you start to feel hungry than grab some celery, broccoli, peppers, etc and eat until you feel satisfied.  Also, be sure to drink water throughout the day and when snacking on vegetables.

The amino acids in our formulation can help control your appetite, though sometimes while on the diet you will crave some type of treat, and there are options! No you can’t go eat a piece of cake but when you want something sweet, try making a baked apple or other P2 dessert from our website

This diet is only for a short time, you can have cake, desserts and treats again in moderation, just not right now. The small wait will surely be worth the results! Happy Halloween Team LHCG!

Trick or treating with your kids tonight? You may be tempted to sneak just one small candy. What could it hurt? Unfortunately, on the Liquid HCG Diet one cheat can slow you down for a day or two. Would you rather eat that Snickers bar or step on the scale in the morning to show a loss? Remember that candy does not have the nutritional value to help you succeed on HCG.

Scary Halloween Facts!

Just in case you are tempted by that Halloween candy you see everywhere, here are some facts that will hopefully keep you away from those empty calories.

• One Hershey Kiss has 26 calories, 8 grams of carbohydrates, 1.33 grams of fat, and 2.56 grams of sugar.
• One fun sized M&M package has 88 calories, 12 grams of carbs., 3 grams of fat and 11.5 grams of sugar.
• One Tootsie Roll (midge) has 23 calories, 7 grams of carbs., .5 grams of fat, and 3.3 grams of sugar.
• One snack size Reeses has 80 calories, 10 grams of carbs., 4.5 grams of fat, and 7 grams of sugar.
• One fun sized original flavored Skittles package contains 80 calories, 18 grams of carbs., 15 grams of sugar, and .8 grams of fat.
• 11 pieces of Candy Corn (Brachs brand) contains 70 calories, 18 grams of carbs, 0 fat, and 16 grams of sugar.

Even a Tootsie Pop still has 60 calories and 10 grams of sugar, which makes it 11% of your daily calorie allowance.

Therefore, if you ate just one fun sized package of M&Ms you would only have 412 calories left to eat. That is the equivalent of both your vegetable servings for lunch in one candy serving. Calories without real nutritional value don’t help you make your weight loss goal and do not give your body the nutrients it needs to be healthy on the Liquid HCG Diet.

Live, Love, LAUGH!!

Laughter not only reduces muscle tension and produces happy chemicals in the brain called endorphins, but it actually helps increase the amount of oxygen in the blood AND exercises our hearts.  So it makes sense that laughing would burn more calories too. 

According to an article from USA Today, if you laugh for 10-15 minutes a day you can burn up to 50 calories depending on body size and the intensity of the laughter. That means if you laugh for 10-15 minutes daily you could burn enough calories to lose 4 ½ pounds in a year.  Physiology experts say it’s not exactly an effective way to shed extra weight — but the idea is worth a laugh or two.

Burning those extra calories may not seem like a lot to you, but as you know, every little change can make a big difference. Plus laughing can help us feel more positive about life, better about ourselves and ultimately can help us stay motivated to lose those extra pounds.
